Tierra Studios is proud to present Texas Jazz Masters, our latest Jazz project encompassing our previous and upcoming Jazz releases.  The objective of Texas Jazz Masters is to create awareness about the rich musical history in Texas, with a focus on the key players in the Texas Jazz scene.  Texas Jazz has undoubtedly  influenced other genres of music such as Tejano, Classical, Blues, Rock ‘ Roll, House & Techno, R&B and Hip-Hop.

Our goal is to highlight how Texas Jazz is related to these other genres of music.

We’re kicking off the project with a series of video interviews, starting with Gilbert Sedeño.  Let us know what you think!~

In the meantime, here is Bryan Harkness performing live:

Fox News 26 will be running a story on Tierra Studios and our Texas Jazz Masters series on a date TBA.  Thomas Hulten was the point man to represent the Texas Jazz Masters series, and held a recording session that was captured on film.

Here’s a behind the scenes view of the interview.

The Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Houston, Noe Marmolejo, interviews Thomas Hulten about the recording process on his album “Slide Side”.
