Tierra Studios is in large part a product of Randy Miller’s vision. With previous experience in sound studio design and over a decade of successful album production, Miller helped conceive of Tierra with precise insight as to what the ideal studio should encompass. Having both engineered and produced albums across several genres, from Latin and rock to gospel and big band, Miller ensured Tierra would have the space and the equipment to accommodate all types of recording needs.

Miller gained a unique insight into the complex needs and aspirations of musical groups through his work writing for and playing with progressive rock band Zen Archer. Through the course of engineering and producing gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums, Miller has won 4 Grammys and earned 16 nominations. He has contracted with labels such as Sony, Capitol EMI, Atlantic, Columbia, and BMG. This experience in multiple environments sharpened his sense of what a studio needs in terms of atmosphere, recording/mastering capabilities, and location.
