GLENNWHEELER_final_forwebGlenn Wheeler, the grandson of Houston Radio Pioneer, Harvey ”the judge” Wheeler {long time chief engineer KPRC radio}, knew at a very early age, that he wanted to be involved in the business and engineering of music. In the early 70’s, Glenn was seen tapping his toe to the sounds of a Big Band at the grand opening of the Houston Inter-Continental Airport hotel.

Glenn has been known as a live recording and mixing specialist. He has recorded and mixed more that 200 albums for many groups and ensembles. Glenn has engineered for a wide variety of musical acts, television broadcasts, remote recordings, has mixed for venues as large as 35,000 people, and has designed numerous systems for home, worship, concert and studio applications.

A grammy nominated engineer, he has worked with a wide variety of both local and national artists as well as many record lables. From classical, jazz, country, pop, christian, gospel, opera, choral, symphonic, and military band music, he continues to help clients make great music.

Share Great News for Tierra In the mail last week I opened my NARAS Ballot. I have been a voting member since 2002. Every year since then, I open that ballot and look to see one of our projects on it. Well what do you know? I went to the voting site and found that the Larry Slezak album “No Worries” is up for nomination for the Best Instrumental Jazz Album, Individual or Group. I dug a bit deeper and read that both Larry Slezak and Jose Miguel-Yamal had both received a nomination for Best Improvised Jazz Soloist for the song ‘You’ve Changed” from the Slezak album.... [Read more]

Share Country singer-songwriter Bryan Harkness, who Tierra Music signed in May, is spending a lot of time at Tierra Studios this month recording 13 songs for his upcoming album.
